I now pronounce...

It's so fun to observe Claire's language skills growing. She can recite almost the entire book "Are You My Mother?" by P.D. Eastman. Her sentences grow longer and more complex every few weeks: "Mommy, Cwaire go up-tairs, take teddy, use my new bwocks, build big house!" (Those Ls are still pretty tricky to say, poor kid.)

I was looking over one of my posts from earlier in the summer (when I was blogging more) and thought it would be fun to show an update. Watch Clairish slowly evolve into English!

One of her cutest Clairisms dissappeared very quickly. At around 19 months, she called apple sauce "backel doss." In no time, that became, distinctively "appo zauce." I will be especially sad when she stops calling that silly, willy-nilly, old bear by the name "Wibby Pooh."
