I'd appreciate your prayers. My father is gravely ill and not expected to survive the next few days (Joel gives some more details).

I'm going to be flying with Claire to Florida first thing in the morning. Fortunately, one of my older brothers got a connecting flight through Philadelphia so he can help me deal with a very active toddler on the 3-hour flight.

This is especially stressful because it was so sudden. I'm having a hard time thinking straight and just figuring out what to put in the suitcase.
